Enotria
Enotria, from the ancient Greek Oenotria, was an early name associated with part of southern Italy. The name was historically connected with wine and the vine, making it a fitting expression of Wine Latitude’s exploration of Italian wine through territory, people and production.
Italian wine explored at its source.
Enotria is Wine Latitude's field research and documentation initiative. Through territory visits, producer interviews, observation and research, it documents the people, places and production choices behind Italian wine.
From Territory to Understanding
Wine cannot be understood only through what is in the glass. Territory, climate, grape varieties, production choices, local knowledge and cultural context all contribute to how a wine is made and interpreted.
Enotria brings these elements together through direct field observation and documented research
Territory → People → Production → Documentation → Interpretation
