VinVeritas

Structured wine tasting. Deeper interpretation. Better understanding.

Italian Wine Rationale

Italian wine requires a different approach to interpretation.

Compared with many other wine-producing countries, Italy combines extraordinary regional diversity, hundreds of native grape varieties, numerous appellations, detailed production rules and strong local identities.

Together, these elements make Italian wine more complex to interpret.

Wine Latitude is developing VinVeritas, a digital tasting and learning tool designed to support the structured interpretation of wine.

Complementing Enotria by bringing the exploration of wine from the field into the glass, VinVeritas is designed to help wine students, professionals, educators and serious enthusiasts move beyond tasting notes.

It connects structured tasting evidence with grape variety, appellation, production and place, helping users interpret wine within a broader context rather than treating appellations, regulations and grape varieties as isolated information.

Currently in development, VinVeritas will combine structured tasting with interpretation and appellation knowledge, supporting both Italian wine study and broader international tasting practice.
